So, they e-mailed me, and said they wanted a web bio. My first instinct was “No, really, what do you want?!”. Then Mike Adams told me “A bio”. And I thought why would ANYONE want to read about me, instead of, oh…I don’t know…flossing the teeth of a hungry Doberman with a raw steak duct-taped to their forehead? But they insisted… I am originally from Bristol, Connecticut (think Hartford, then southeast). I grew up in Connecticut, went to High School there in Newington (think Hartford, then west). I grew OUT here in Maine! I went to college in Bangor, and wanted to major in business. I wanted to get away from home, so Husson College in Bangor it was! When I got there, I ended up majoring in SLACKING (hey, we all have a skill!), so I got a job at the college radio station. After a full year of slacking (at which I EXCELLED!), I transferred to the New England School Of Broadcasting, and a STAR was born (well, I keep telling myself that, I’ll believe it eventually)! I spent a few years doing radio in Bangor (with Q Morning Show superstar Jeff Parsons, if you believe it!), a few years at 92 Moose in Augusta, and I have been in Portland for about 9 years. I am out of radio full-time, but I LOVE being part of the staff at the GREATEST RADIO STATION EVER (yea, I’m a bit of a homer)!! I sell wireless phone service for a leading national wireless provider (they won’t let me say which one, damn advertisers) as a REAL source of income. I am also the public address announcer for the Portland Pirates, proud AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres (new team)! Yup, that’s my mug you see on the video board and my voice you hear at the Civic Center when the Pirates are home. GO PIRATES!! I am also an avid sports fan, a HUGE hockey fan (I had dinner with Gretzky once, really), I’m a big Red Sox fan, and my NEW YORK GIANTS ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS (I bet you actually kind of liked me right up until then!!).
